Favorite Food Books
These are some of my favorite food books that I either own myself or have had some influence on me, my cooking, diet or overall philosophy about food. I don’t claim to be a raw foodist, vegan, vegetarian or any other title, yet I know that having fresh uncooked food greatly helps a person’s health and diet. I also find that people today purchase most of there food as prepackaged or prepared with minimal home cooking. We have become a society of recookers or fast food. I find my favorite food books to be healthy, refreshing and most provide a new vision for health and food preparation. Learning to eat simply with readily available local produce, home grown, organic or foraged foods provides better health, better food, and a more sustainable agricultural model. I know you will find this selection of book as valuable as I have in my life.
