Banana Kale Green Juice

Banana Kale Green Juice

When you say green juice, many have images of drinking some horrible beverage that tastes like grass. You can make a wonderful tasting drink with amazing nutrition. Don’t let the green color make your taste buds put up stop signs.

This blended green juice is one of our favorite recipes. We like to blend up during the week when we want a fresh and quick meal. When making this green juice you want to use a really good, high speed blender that blends all ingredients well. This means there are no chunks. You want to blend this really smooth. The longer you blend the smoother it becomes. It is really best consumed within an hour of making. If you do decide to make this drink in advance of use, it can get a bit thick and it tends to separate if left too long. It is always best when served immediately after blending.

When you have an excess of those spring greens in your garden making blended green drinks can make use of that fresh produce in a different way than your typical salad. Don’t be afraid to substitute any variety of greens you have available, yet I would avoid strong red stemmed greens such as Swiss chard or beet greens as they can be a little dominant.
So don’t be afraid. Blended green juice is a wonderful and nutritious drink that, once past the green color, will become one of your favorites.
